I will visit your home to carry out a trial. I recommend a trial is normally done 4/6 weeks before the wedding day. By this time you should know how you are wearing your hair, what accessories you have and what your colour scheme is. These are all things that help us decide what style and colours of makeup we are going to use. If you wish to have a trial sooner than this then that's fine with me too. A trial must be carried out on a bride as the products used on you must be tested to check that you have no sensitivities to them. The trial must be done in daylight as it enables you to see my work properly - artificial light is not ideal. I must work in daylight on your wedding day because if makeup works well in daylight then it will look good in any light and most importantly in your photographs. Once we have had a chat about how you would like to look on the wedding day and decided on styles and colours I will apply your trial makeup using professional products and tricks of the trade that mean that your makeup will stay flawless and comfortable for hours! Any adjustments will be made until you are 100% happy. I will take photographs so you can see just how your makeup will look in your wedding photos. I will also make notes of products and techniques used on you. This enables me to reproduce the look exactly on your wedding day. I am able to do trials during daylight hours Monday - Friday as my weekends are booked up with weddings. When booking a trial a £20 booking fee must be paid in advance to make your wedding day booking firm (this will be deducted from your trial charge). At the trial, to secure your wedding day date, a non refundable deposit of 50% of each person requiring wedding day makeup must be paid in advance. If any of the wedding day party cancel their makeup booking before the wedding day their 50% deposit will be lost. If due to cancellations the amount of people requiring wedding day makeup falls to below the minimum amount (2 people during peak periods) there will be a £55 surcharge added to the wedding day fee. *If a Mother of the Bride or Bridesmaid's trial takes place at a separate time or place to the Bride's trial the trial will be charged at the Special Occasion rate of £70 plus a travel fee if applicable. I will visit you at home or at your wedding venue on your wedding day and recreate the look achieved at the trial. After the makeup has been applied I will provide you with enough lipstick and powder for touch ups during the day. Makeup is best applied after your hair is finished. I do not take Bride only bookings for Saturday or Sunday weddings. For brides who wish to learn how to apply their own makeup on their wedding day or brides getting married abroad a comprehensive makeup lesson is a great idea. It's also a great idea if you are a complete novice or just stuck in a rut with your makeup and want to learn how to apply a new look for day or night. You will receive step by step instruction on how to apply your makeup. I will apply makeup to one side of the face and you will do the other side under my instruction. I will also give you a 'shopping list' of products to take away. A lesson takes roughly 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Gift vouchers are available for makeup lessons as they make a great present! Thank You! A few words to you Juliet to say thank you so very much for my makeup lesson. I was totally amazed at all i have learnt - you taught me so much and helped me to create a look for my wedding day. I would highly recommend you to anyone who would like advice on applying and creating that special look. A makeup lesson is well worth it. I can't thank you enough, you have such a warm friendly personality and took the time to achieve the look I wanted - you are a real star. Don't look any further - Juliet's makeup lessons are simply the best! Jo Christie Juliet Just wanted to say a huge thank you for the makeup lesson at the start of May. I was really apprehensive about doing my own makeup, especially for the one day that I was meant to look at my best, but the lesson with you gave me the skills and confidence to repeat my wedding day makeup on my own. The result looked beautiful and remained flawless until 4am despite the 35 degree Tuscan heat. So many guests commented on how fantastic my makeup looked and were stunned that I had done it myself- this is real testimony to not only your ability as as makeup artist but also as a teacher. Thank you. Lucy Fletcher Thanks Juliet! I recently had a make up lesson with Juliet for bridal makeup. Having been let down at my trial by a different make up artistand unable to find anyone else with availability at short notice, Ihave decided to do my own wedding make up. I wanted some hintsand tips from a professional to make it special and also long lasting. From the moment I contacted her, Juliet has been extremely helpful, not tomention warm and friendly. At the lesson, Juliet talked me througheverything she was doing and made sure I was able to replicate it. Juliet's method of working in stages on one side of the face and thenletting me do the same on the other side of the face was brilliantbecause it helped me to improve my technique. Juliet really knowsher stuff and it shows. She gave me loads of application tips andafterwards wrote down step-by-step exactly what she had done along withthe products she used. A lot of people recommended that I visit acounter to get a bridal make up "lesson". I have done thisbefore for just standard make up and not ever been that impressed. WithJuliet it is completely different because she genuinely has an interest inmaking you look good and knows what works best. Juliet also uses a widerange of make up brands so you can really get the best of everythingwhereas on a counter makeover, you would be restricted to just one brand. Also, for certain products where only a small amount was needed, e.g.highlighter, Juliet gave me samples of the products to take away with meto use on the day which was a great help. Having now gone and bought theproducts and brushes Juliet used, I am going to practice, practice, practice! Juliet has also been more than willing after the lesson toanswer any questions over email which is really appreciated. I feel so muchmore confident about doing my own bridal make up and cannot recommend Julietmore highly. Thanks again Juliet! Sarah Breen
