Bridal Makeup Practice
During your bridal makeup practice, we'll discuss your vision for the wedding day look. Together, we'll choose styles and colours that make you feel comfortable, creating a stunning makeup look that highlights your natural beauty—so you look like you on your best day!
I use high-quality products and expert techniques to keep your makeup flawless and feeling comfortable for hours. With my knowledge of photographic makeup, you can trust there will be no flashback, ensuring you look stunning both in person and on camera. I'll take professional headshots to assess the makeup, and I will make any adjustments needed until you are completely happy with the results.
I will document the products used in our trial so I can replicate it exactly on your wedding day. Together, we’ll create a timeline, and I will provide a schedule for my arrival and makeup application to ensure a stress free wedding morning that runs like clockwork!
Makeup practices take place at my makeup studio in Leighton Buzzard. I'm purely a makeup artist so don't do hair but I have hairdressers that I can recommend who I've worked with many times and whose work is beautiful.
I recommend a practice is normally done 6/8 weeks before the wedding day. By this time you should know how you are wearing your hair, what accessories you have and what your colour scheme is. These are all things that help us decide what style and colours of make-up we are going to use. If you wish to have a practice sooner than this then that's absolutely fine with me too.
A practice must be carried out on a bride as the products used on you must be tested to check that you have no sensitivities to them.
All photos taken at the practice will be sent to you.
Wedding Day Makeup
I'll meet you at home or your chosen venue at our agreed-upon time. I'll recreate the wedding makeup look we practiced together. All you and bridal party need to do is relax my makeup chair and let me work magic!
I'm very used to working alongside hairdressers - even ones I've not met before ! I'd prefer to work on the bride second to last so she's got time to go and start getting her dress on with enough time to not feel rushed. There's something psychological about being last for a bride...it makes her feel like she's running late!
I'm happy to work on other members of the bridal party without a previous practice, if they're happy with that. I've worked on 1000's of faces over the years so instinctively know what makeup will suit.
All clients will receive a free mini lipstick on the wedding day for touch-ups.
